Maria was a lovely lady. As her hairdresser for many years, I always enjoyed talking to her when doing her hair. She always said I was a pleasure to talk to because she could hear and understand me nice and clear. Whenever I came to her flat, she was always listening to beautiful music on her radio. I first met Maria when she moved to Highgate about 35 years ago and came to my salon. Even a few weeks ago, she remembered how I walked towards her and gave her a big smile, and she stayed with me ever since. She said it was love at first sight! I will always remember Maria with affection.
